USB-C to HDMI connection Flickering on 2020 Macbook Air 13inch

Hi,

I have recently bought a 2020 Macbook Air and decided to buy a QGeeM USB C to HDMI Adapter 4K Cable so I could connect my laptop to my TV through an HDMI cable.

When I have it connected, it continuously flickers but the audio has no problems at all. I tried different HDMI cables, made sure the connection was good and flush on both ends, tried restarting the laptop however the problem continues.

The laptop is 2 weeks old, and the cable I just got today.

Do you know what the issue might be and how I might be able to solve this ? Any help would be greatly appreciated :-)
