Notes crashing instantly on Catalina, cannot access Apple support for notes

Hi,

I have a relatively new Apple MacBook Air running Catalina. I also use an iPad Pro and iPhone, all running the latest OS with updates.

Each time I try to open Notes on the MacBook Air, it crashes pretty much instantly. Deleting notes with photos in has not helped, as per one recommendation. Restarting the Mac etc. has also not helped.

Does anybody have any advice or a link to how I can gain Apple support? Notes does not seem to be included in the options when working through the support request menus.

Hey there juergendersoftwaremeister,

Based on your post it appears you're having trouble launching the Notes app on your Mac. Is that right? We'll do all we can to help.

Just to confirm, are you running macOS 10.15.7? If not, can you create a backup of your Mac if need be and update your macOS version to test? Keep your Mac up to date

If fully updated, you can also test the issue in and out of safe mode as well. Safe mode will clear the system cache and attempt to repair any directory related issues. It would also be helpful to know if this occurs in a new user account. Take a look at the resources below and keep us updated.
