Ipad email problem

using an ipad air2 and the supplied email application....


recently the application has stopped displaying SENT emails which were made using ‘reply’ option on incoming items


but SENT items which were put together as wholly new mails do get displayed


i do not use the cloud for anything.


anyone have a clue what is going on ?
