Iphone XR with IOS 14.0.1 - Folders not opening

After updating my Iphone XR to 14.0.1, the folders on the home screen do not open with 1 tap. It takes 2 to 3 taps sometimes and sometimes you have to long press to get the editing menu, then re-tap the folder and it opens to give access to apps in the folder.

I have tried re-creating the folders by moving one app over another and letting it be the default folder name too, But have the same issue

Tried restarting, re-booting, and nothing works,

Could anyone here help with this?

Greetings, prasadvenkat!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you’re having issues with opening folders on your iPhone. First, let’s check some settings on your device. Please go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Haptic Touch and set the Touch Duration to Slow. Then, test to see if you still have an issue.

If that doesn’t resolve the issue, let’s have you enable Touch Accommodations. This will change how to screen responds to your touches. In the Touch screen on settings, go to Touch Accommodations and enable that along with Hold Duration.

Let us know if you continue to have an issue after making these adjustments and have a great day!
