Restart at shut down

Greetings Mac users,

I have recently come across this issue, and perhaps others have the same incident.

For background:

MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)

macOS 10.15.7

This incident has not taken place prior to updating the macOS.

Incident: upon shutting down my MacBook Pro, I noticed that by touching the keys (or the trackpad), my MacBook performed a restart.

This was done by not touching the top-right power-on key (as would be commonplace).

I performed multiple restarts, and even performed a reinstall (Option-Command-R)...

And pressing ANY key (or touching the trackpad) still produces a restart.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thank you in advance.

That is normal behavior for 2018 and later MBPs.
