No, you can not dip it in the pool, unless your plan is to destroy a delicate electronic device.

Its not waterproof. It IP67 water resistant. This means that it could go under water for 30 minutes. It only goes down to 1.5 meters, but my personal limit is 1 meter, because this is a very expensive phone, and is not worth loosing bcs of water damage.

You may wish to pay attention to this note in Apple’s description of the iPhone “water resistance”.
