Watch battery life

Since updating my Apple Watch series 5 to iOS 14, my watches battery life has been significantly reduced. I’ve never had a problem with the battery before and it’s always finished the day on 40% or more. Now it doesn’t last past 6pm!

Apple has this support document that might fix your problem: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211865

Do note that restoring your iPhone and Apple Watch can result in some missing data, such as missing Watch data from the time that WatchOS 7 / iOS 14 was installed until now. And maybe missing apps that are no longer in the App Store. Also if you are connected to your work, you may need to link it back up to your work servers. And Apply Pay and Face/Touch ID will need to be setup anew (both were easy for me). It probably also resets your contact tracing database.
