Saving voicemail greeting

My husband recently passed away and I want to record/save his voicemail greeting onto my phone (both are iPhone 8) or computer. Is there some way to do that? Do I need an app? Help, I don’t want to lose hearing his voice but the phone needs to be returned to his job. Thanks

iPhone 8, iOS 12

Hi there Asidders,

Our condolences for your loss. We understand you'd like to record an existing voicemail greeting, and we'd like to assist.

You can use the Voice Memos app on your iPhone to record the greeting from his. To play the greeting, open the Phone app then select Voicemail > Greeting > Play.

Check out how to record it here: Make a recording in Voice Memos on iPhone

We hope this helps.

Take care.
