Does anyone know if Logic Remote will still work when Logic Pro X is not the active app on my desktop? E.g., if I am using PowerPoint on full screen on my computer with LPX in the background, will the Logic Remote still work?

I just made a test with some arbitrary applications (Firefox, Max, Quicktime Player - Fullscreen). Logic Remote still works even when Logic is running in backround.

I don't see anything technical that can prevent this. I didn't test it myself but there are users reporting they were successful.
You may want to play with the Bypass All while in background setting in Logic Pro X > Preferences > Control Surfaces.
