a1398 dead usb

I have a mid 2014 15' MBP with dead usb. From system information the usb tree is present and the internal keyboard and mice work however usb 3.0 and 2.0 are missing. They used to work fine but me being an idiot I plugged in a chinese firewire 400 adapter and my mac instantly turned off and started smoking. The ports are fine but I'm assuming an ic on the board is dead. Both ports do not work however 5V is present meaning I can power/charge devices over usb but no data will work.

Which chip should I look at replacing?
