Easy fix go to shortcuts app!

go to automation bottom of screen middle button

create a personal automation for a specific time ie of day 1 min after sleep time.

have automation remove DND. (You will have to type DND in the search bar)

*** very importantly remove flag to ask!

cheers

As a workaround, with an Apple Watch download “AutoSleep” which tracks sleep automatically, and then turn on “theater mode” on the watch to make the screen blank. Your sleep data will then sync with Apple Health and you will be able to receive vibration notifications during the night as long as you have “vibrate on silent” turned on.

I had the same issue. Wanted to track sleep, but needed notifications from the baby monitor. I bypassed the issue by creating a do-not-disturb schedule (in settings > do not disturb) that started 1 minute after my “bedtime”, and lasted for 1 minute. So for me, DND would kick on at 11pm with my bedtime scheduler, run for 1 minute, and automatically turn itself back off at 11:01. Worked like a charm.

This is a dumb limitation though. I want to track my sleep health, but I also have a senior level IT job at a large global company where maybe once a month on average I get called during my sleeping hours to handle an issue escalation. I can’t predict when this will occur, nor can I account for every manager, teammate, lower level IT staff, or automated system notification that might contact me. So, I *can’t* have DnD enabled. And it’s lousy that as a result of my job requirements, Apple won’t allow me to track sleep.

I completely understand that DnD helps foster healthier sleeping. But there’s no legitimate reason for it to be mandatorily coupled with sleep tracking. A simple recommendation/warning regarding the benefits of DnD on sleep health would be sufficient.

I feel the same way. I just paid $400 for a watch specifically for sleep and exercise but now I can’t use the sleep tracking because of do not disturb. I don’t understand how there are 5 million settings and that’s not one. I need to get notifications from my cameras if someone’s trying to break in my house but no let them be silenced so I can have an uninterrupted night sleep. It’s crazy.
