Why doesn't osx recognize iPod shuffle anymore?

I am using OSX Catalina 10.15.6. When I connect iPod Shuffle to my mac Mini it used to recognize it as volume and as iPod. I used to update podcasts in the finder menu. However now the two of my iPod shuffle aren't recognized as iPod anymore. I've tried disconnecting, using another USB-Slot and so forth. It seems to me as if OSX changed some settings with the latest update. Anyone else here facing those problems?

Mac mini 2018 or later
