Apple Pencil 2 compatibility
Hello,
I was wondering about the Apple Pencil 2 compatibility with the iPad 10.2 2020.
Will the magnet work? Will it charge when attached to the tablet?

The second generation Apple Pencil is only compatible with the 2018/2020 models of iPad Pro - and the [as yet unreleased] new fourth generation iPad Air (a.k.a. iPad Air4).
All other models of iPad, that support Apple Pencil, require a first generation Apple Pencil.
The first and second generation Apple Pencils are not interchangeable. An iPad that supports Apple Pencil is only compatible with one or other version. It will never be possible to use the different version of the Pencil, as the two versions of Pencil use an entirely different pairing and charging interface and hardware; the matching hardware is only present on the compatible iPad.
Apple Pencil (2nd generation)
You can use Apple Pencil (2nd generation) with these iPad models:
- iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation) and later
- iPad Pro 11-inch (1st generation) and later
- iPad Air (4th generation)
Apple Pencil (1st generation)
You can use Apple Pencil (1st generation) with these iPad models:
- iPad Pro 12.9-inch (1st or 2nd generation)
- iPad Pro 10.5-inch
- iPad Pro 9.7-inch
- iPad Air (3rd generation)
- iPad (7th generation)
- iPad (6th generation)
- iPad mini (5th generation)
