iPad setup
Just received new ipad put in email address. Did have ipod many many years ago. 3 hours later the circle is still going round. It may take a few minutes to set up your Apple ID?? Should it take this long??

Set up your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
People have posted they had to let their device run overnight to let the setup complete. Others have restarted their device and done the setup again.
If necessary
Do a backup and try a factory reset. Then restore from your backup.
Backup - Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup.
