Green Line on Iphone X after 14.0.1 Update

I now have a 2 year old paid off Iphone X with a green line on the left of the screen after the 14.0.1 update, directly following the update it was there. I did not drop it. Do i have to buy a new screen for this fix or is this something Apple is aware of? I don't know how to proceed. I wasn't wanting to update my phone, but I also use my phone for TV/Internet everything (long frustrating story to why). Any insight on how to proceed or if this is happening to the X from the update as it was a few years ago?
