iPad mini 4 exploded when he was charging

Looks more like your kid dropped it on it's edge as that is where the crack emanates from, but didn't want to admit he did so he blamed it on charging.

You can argue all you want, this was caused by your son dropping the iPad or hitting it on something, not by charging.

It is not covered under warranty.

The damage was not caused by charging. Your son dropped it or hit it hard against something causing the screen to shatter.

100% been dropped or hit on a hard surface or stood on, nothing to do with charging
