Possible to join iPhone Upgrade Plan with current phone?

I just bought an iPhone 11 using Apple's financing and am wondering if it's possible to enroll in the iPhone Upgrade Plan after the fact. I already have AppleCare+ on it as well. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

Monthly Payments Im thinking about getting a new iPhone but I'm confused on how the monthly payments work, if I get the monthly payments that lets you upgrade, what does that really mean, If I get that option which is like 7 dollars more per month, when the new iPhone comes out next year will i just be able to swap it out for free and just continue paying off the same phone? Also for apple care+ that comes with it, it says it covers it, does it cover it all completely, or is there a fee that you have to pay for getting it repaired?

As part of the iPhone upgrade program, what happens to the Apple Care plan on the iPhone you're trading in? Does the full cost of the care plan still need to be paid in full? I paid 12 installments on the iPhone 12 with AppleCare+ coverage and upgraded to iPhone 13 through Apple Card's upgrade feature and trade-in program. I understand I would still need to pay off the loan on the iPhone 12, but should I be paying the loan off on the device only and not the AppleCare+ coverage on the iPhone 12 since I traded in the device? If I pay off the loan in full (phone + AppleCare), would I get a prorated credit for the care plan?

As you can see from the “Join now” link here, the Upgrade Plan starts with the purchase of a new iPhone.
