Tracked Phone

Hello. How do I know if my phone is being tracked/ if it is hacked? I received a suspicious text message and the person really wanted me to respond to the text. I didn’t respond and blocked the number. Is there a way that they could still track my location / hack my phone if I didn’t respond to the message?
