Apple watch not finding location of family-share devices that iPhone "find my" app is able to locate

When I use "find my" on my iPhone, I can see the location of all of my family-share devices. I have a Cellular-enabled apple watch (Gen 3). When I use the "Find People app" on the watch, it only can locate devices tied to my icloud account, but can't locate the same family devices that my iPhone's "find my" app does locate properly. Is there a solution to force my apple watch to locate Family Shared devices?
