Search Domains not working through DHCP (DHCP Option 119)

I have set up search domains in my router (DHCP Option 119) and it seems to be sent to the iPad according to the router logs, but it is not appearing in Settings, as seen in the picture.

I doesn't seem to be working for this user with MacOS either, or for the 60+ people who said that they have the issue as well, but nobody replied.

Is this feature actually broken in iOS/iPadOS and MacOS, because that appears to be the case?

iPad Pro, iPadOS 14

celliott147, I have the same issue, all MacOS and Windows machines (about 10)receive the proper suffix from DHCP (provided by ISC DHCP on a raspberry PI).. So its not an issue with the router, switch or AP.

It's only iOS devices that do not receive the search suffix properly... or they ignore it altogether.

the option command in the dhcp.conf is correct as per the documentation provided by ISC is

option domain-search "mydomain.local";

not being accepted by iOS devices
