Input source => Ukrainian language : dots and commas problem

When I use Ukrainian language, I need to press Shift+7 for typing dot. Shift+6 for typing comma.

Just wondering, do Apple engineers and designers think that Ukrainians don't use commas and dots as often as Americans :)

The forward slash character is not used as often as dots and commas, so why not replace it?

Shift key does not type character printed on certain keys I replaced my keyboard [the old one died]. The new keyboard will type a period, but does not want to type a colon [the character printed above the period]. Period key types . shift and period key types > dash key types / shift and dash types / there doesn't seem to be a way to type an equal sign, semi colon, or question mark even though all are printed on the keyboard/ The keyboard is set to US English and was purchased in California. Setting the keyboard to US International or Canadian English changed nothing. I'm at a complete loss. This sucks

German signs ü or ä o in Big Sur Hi, since big Sur I have problems doing these signs, this ø comes out if I press option, but that is Danish and not German oe How make ü or ä o in Big Sur on an USA keyboard? These are german little dots over the letters. Thank you!
