Freeze Frame (Option 'F'); has this stopped working for anyone else out there?

I had used to use Option+F to place a freeze frame in a clip on the timeline but this appears to have stopped working for me.

I am now having to use 'Shift+H' and play around with the Hold function instead.

Getting used to new (additional) key strokes is fine, but loosing functionality from a key feature on the edit menu really sucks.

Anyone else seeing this?

Try deleting preferences.

To delete preferences, hold down command and option while starting FCP X and click Delete Preferences.

The application will start in a default state, and open an "Untitled" library. Reopen the library you were working on, set the preferences the way you like them, and try again.

mmm, good spot on the shelf! Also appears on close up to be a single shelf bar. So as if the final step of the Freeze Frame function (i.e. pasting repeated frame) is missed.

Clip is split (and linked under the shelf).

Selected frame repeatedly copied/pasted in a loop for <n> times to produce 'new clip'.

'New Clip' lost/wiped before being posted in the 'blade gap' under the shelf.

may be overthinking this but it's the old software developer in me coming out again! ;o )
