HomeKit Access No Response Remotely (redux)

Cannot connect to HomeKit accessories (lights etc.) remotely (home network works). I've had this issue with my old AppleTV 4K and had replaced it. It had been working but now does not! This past 6 months HomeKit has been so unreliable! WTF Apple.

I've been down that road and will wait a bit. I've turned off HomeKit on the AppleTV 4K and then turned it on. I had noticed that The Home Hub is listed as disconnected remotely but connected when I'm at home.


Wait a sec, It just started working again, let's see how stable it is... gonna wait a few days before... now the accessories are saying 'updating' and the 'Home Hub, once again shows disconnected.


I'm still going to wait a few days before contacting support. I appreciate the link!

yup, this happened before and was solved (?) by replacing the hub... typically a software update has some behavioral issues and, yes there was an update 14.0.0 to 14.0.1. It stopped working before I updated to 14.0.1 and then when I got home updated to tvOS 14.0.1, then restarted... when I switch to LTE from home network I cannot connect (works when I'm home).


The HomeKit used to be super stable but lately not so much
