Touch Bar not reacting to different apps?

Hello,

My Macbook Pro suddenly stoped changing the touch bar depending on what program or app is open.

For Example, while browsing on safari, the touch bar became browser related (back, foward, reload,etc..)

While typing on Pages or word, it would be fonts styles, and other word processing related.
