Have apple TV+ free subscription for a year. When watching a TV show on the same I am asked to purchase.
Why do i need to purchase it from apple tv+? I already have the subscriptions for a year. What does it cover in the free subscription ?

The Apple TV+ subscription covers the Apple Original programming. Content for buy or rent per title is from the iTunes Store, and not part of Apple TV+. Other premium channels are not part of Apple TV+.
