AIRPLAY BANNER

Help Guys. Using iPad 7th gen to mirror to a new Samsung TV. Mirroring is working but I can’t get rid of that annoying black banner stating AirPlay is Connected. I did try researching first but the answer to turn off conference room is no longer an option on my settings. I know there must be a way to get rid of it. TIA

It’s a brand new Samsung. Model is QN43Q60TAF 43”. I spoke with AppleCare as well as with Geek Squad and they both told me that it’s built into the app and there is no way to remove it but that makes absolutely no sense to me and I thought that there must be a way to do it without using Roku or similar.

I’m not using AppleTV. I’m trying to mirror Locast directly from my iPad to the TV. There is no conference setting.

Hi HarnAg,

It sounds like you will need to contact Samsung about this. Model QN43Q60TAF is not appearing in the list of supported devices for the Apple TV app. There will be no conference setting as you are not using the Apple TV hardware.

It sounds like you may need to install the Apple TV app on your Samsung?

Get the Apple TV app on your smart TV or streaming device

  • "For more information about the Apple TV app on your smart TV or streaming device, see the Apple TV app user guide.
  • If you have issues installing the Apple TV app on your smart TV or streaming device, or connecting to the internet, contact the manufacturer."

There may be information in the Samsung owner's manual for showing or hiding the onscreen information.

Take care.

Good afternoon HarnAg,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

It sounds like you are trying to remove the AirPlay is Connected banner when mirroring from your iPad to your new Samsung TV.

What is the model number for your Samsung TV?

Apple TV App - Supported Devices

If you aren't seeing the Settings > AirPlay > Conference Room Display > Off setting it might be because you aren't using the Apple TV hardware

Manage AirPlay settings on your Apple TV.

It seems like you are using the Apple TV app on your Samsung TV instead, is that correct?
