How to sort downloads folder by date created when using it to upload files.

Hi team, when I'm trying to use my downloads folder to upload files from it onto my email, google drive, etc. it seems to always default to alphabetical order. Is there a way to sort by date created?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.13

Command-J and set sort order at the top. You may find this much easier to accomplish in List view. In Column view go to the Finder's View menu and select from the Sort by menu.
