Alerts only going to watch since IOS14 update

Is anyone else having this problem? Since the update, if I get a text message, or a calendar alert, the alert goes to my watch and not my phone. It appears to be to do with the Bluetooth. I’ve restarted and reset both the phone and watch, and it’s still happening. I have read a response from Apple on another thread that you can’t get notifications on both the watch and phone? Is this new for IOS 14 as I’ve never had this issue before?

I don’t want to turn the Bluetooth off, or take off notifications to the watch, as I need both.
