Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
My Macbook Pro with High Sierra version 10.13.6 will not restart when I select that option from dropdown menu. How can I fix this issue? Update isn't able to complete. I can shut down and start the computer, with power button.

I tried to reset the SMC — did not resolve issue.
Tried to reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery, but I got a message saying “The recovery server could not be contacted.”
