AQI complication on the Series 6 watch is useless

The AQI complication on the watch is FAR off from reputable websites and newscasts - 106 on the watch versus 170 from various reliable sites. This renders the complication downright dangerous if we rely on it to decide whether to venture outside. Does anybody understand what causes the difference?
