If our spouses watch starts calling us after it perceives a fall and we know it is an error, how do we stop it calling everyone including EMS?
So I'm guessing you did not notice the 'alarms' happening on the watch for a period of time as described in the document - these would have allowed either of you to indicate to the watch that he was OK and that there was no cause for alarm.
That is not the issue. The issue is - is there a way for me or another on the call list to stop the chain of calls to others and EMS when it is a false reading? We looked up and EMS was there and we got calls from other emergency contacts concerned about a serious fall. Could I have stopped the chain of calls?
I was standing near him. He did not have the watch on his non-dominant hand as he should have as it was new. It perceived his action of jerking his arm as a fall. I was called but did not know how to stop EMS from arriving. So, because nothing addresses my question, I gather that once the action of notification starts, there is no way to stop it from occurring.
Correct as we couldn't hear the alarm over the chain saws. I infer that the only way I could have stopped that day or the next when it went off again was only by touching his watch, nothing when receiving the call. Thank you.
As per the document above, Emergency contacts are contacted via message after emergency services have been called.
Emergency services are called first. How could you stop that when you’re not yet aware?
Thank you for the extra info which helps understand the scenario. I don't think there is anything you could have done if you did not / could not notice the watch trying to attract your attention.
