So I'm guessing you did not notice the 'alarms' happening on the watch for a period of time as described in the document - these would have allowed either of you to indicate to the watch that he was OK and that there was no cause for alarm.

I was standing near him. He did not have the watch on his non-dominant hand as he should have as it was new. It perceived his action of jerking his arm as a fall. I was called but did not know how to stop EMS from arriving. So, because nothing addresses my question, I gather that once the action of notification starts, there is no way to stop it from occurring.
