Move your application to the trash, but don’t empty it. Log into the App Store with the Apple ID used to buy the application. Download the application from your Purchased page. It will give you the most current version for your computer.
The application has to be bought from the App Store.
Thank you for your response. I did not buy final cut from the App Store , I don't remember where I bought it, I got a flash drive with the program. I moved the program to the recycle bin and empty it. I tried to re-install it with the original flash drive but it keeps asking to update and sends me to the App Store to find the update but there is nothing there.
