I am unable to restore my iphone back up from my windows 10 Laptop.

I backed up my Iphone Xs using Itunes in my laptop having Windows 10(up to date). I factory reset the iphone and again connected by phone to Itunes for the restore, but couldn't do it. I have many important data in the back up and it will be very much difficult for me if i loose it.

I need help immediately. Please help me for the same.

iPhone XS, iOS 14

Please be more specific about your issue, so that we can best help you out. What error message are you seeing when trying to restore your iPhone? What version of iTunes are you running? The more details you can provide, the better someone can help you out.

In the meantime, please give this article a read (and note the section at the bottom): https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201210

Interesting🤔You are correct in that your C: drive shouldn't get filled up more and more. According to this support article, you can give restoring from an iCloud backup (instead of the iTunes backup) a try: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203271

Otherwise, you'd have to contact Apple Support directly via phone (the support article above also links to Apple's contact options). I hope this helps!

Hello, Thanks for your prompt feedback.

I have updated the itunes to 12.10.09.3, Iphone is updated to IOS 14.0.1 and Windows laptop is also up to date.

I have tried the restoration of the backup more that 7 times and each time my "c" drive is getting filled up. Though, i think the files should go to the iphone and not get again stored in the same path where the Iphone backup is being stored.

Unfortunately, trying after many times i am still not able to restore my iphone. Attached is the erroe at the end of completion of the restore. Pl. help me out in the matter.

I already contacted apple support 4-5 times yesterday and it appears that they themselves aren't clear about how to solve this issue.

More frustrating is that a lady from senior support team is replying that you have backed up your data on a windows laptop and we are not familiar with windows devices. Though i am using a windows laptop to backup, the process is being done through iTunes only. Which is definitely an apple's software.

I am sure that it is not necessary that every iPhone user must have a Mac. Apple must have a solution on these kind of issues where one's data i more important.

Bummer! Quite the poor choice of words from the Apple lady, as your issue does indeed seem to revolve around iTunes (even on a Windows machine). You certainly shouldn't have to buy a Mac just to use it with your iPhone (although that would make things much easier). Nonetheless, don't be discouraged and try contacting Apple again. If one advisor doesn't know the answer, have them escalate the issue to their superiors. If they don't know the solution to your problem, have them escalate again and so on. I know how frustrating and what a ****** experience such a "support odyssey" can be, but they will figure it out eventually. You might want to stress the point that you're a (very?) unhappy customer right now and that the product you bought – through no fault of your own – is now dysfunctional...

Meanwhile, have you tried restoring from an iCloud backup?
