auto-lock help (iPhone 6s; iOS 14)

I need help with turning off auto-lock.

my phone: 6s (this is my phone, not corporate owned)

IOS: 14.0

I want to stop having my phone turn off after 30 seconds.

If I do this: settings -> display&brightness -> auto-lock

  • auto-lock is set to 30 seconds, and is greyed out.
  • I don't see an option to set to "never" as suggested by other blog posts.

What am I missing? Any help would be most appreciated!

Do you or did you have a work email account set up on the phone?

The phone doesn't have to be corporate owned. If you have a corporate Exchange account set up on the phone, the administrators can enforce policies on the device.
