I just did a replacement of my ipod touch 6 G and there is no battery meter to show percentage on the new ipod. Anyone know why this happened

I just did a replacement of my ipod touch 6G and there is no better meter to percentage of battery life nor is there any setting to get this.

It is in the Control Center -- swiped down from the top right corner of the screen. There isn't an option to display it permanently at the top of the home screen but you can add a battery widget to the home screen that will display the %.
