Hey John,

Thanks for your post. It sounds like you wish to increase your Apple Watch capacity, so you can add more music. We'll do our best to explain why you can't increase the capacity of your Apple Watch.

The Apple Watch (depending on the model) has a specific capacity, similar to an iPhone or computer. The capacity is the limit of data that can be stored directly to the device. While you can increase storage, such as, iCloud. There isn't currently a supported way to increase your Apple Watch capacity: Get information about Apple Watch

With that being said, you can change the music added to your Apple Watch to keep things fresh and new. Learn more about how to do this here: Add music to Apple Watch

Another alternative would be to use other features in the Music app, like playlists or use the Radio app.

We hope this helps out, take care!

I'm asking what John_Lone did, and you didn't answer his question. Our watches have 32GB of storage capability, yet the Music is limited to 8GB. That's ridiculous! The whole point of upgrading from the 3 (8GB) to the 4 (16GB) to the 5 (32GB) was to increase the amount of traveling music. I have a music library of over 14k songs, so I have no need for an Apple Music subscription. I don't want to be tethered constantly to my iPhone (primary reason all my watches have been cellular), and sometimes I venture well out of WiFi/cellular range. The music limit on a 32GB device should be at LEAST 16GB, with the user-option to increase if desired. Certainly don't want/need that many apps on my Watch. Will this be resolved in a future WatchOS patch or update?

It wouldn't be such a showstopper, if the transfer procedure wasn't such a painfully slow ordeal...that also feels like it was somewhat by design. Really not feeling the love from Cupertino lately.
