Does installing a thermal pad affects warranty?
Macbook Air 2020 has issues with performance because of the design mistakes that lead to overheating and then CPU throttling. People get 20-30% performance boost, as well as reduce dangerous high temperatures, in just 10 minutes by using an extremely simple fix.
There's a fix number one, where a guy puts a thin thermal pad between the alum case and the CPU heatsink:
Fix number two, another guy goes even further and puts a thermal pad between the CPU itself and its heatsink:
I want to do either 1 or 2, but I'm not sure if my warranty disappears after that. Can anyone tell me? I tried to get the official support but they only let me "arrange the phone call" (omg as a true engineer, I hate talking to people; plus I want to have a written proof from Apple so they won't reject me if it turns out there will be warranty issues).
Thanks
