I received a spam text message. I deleted it, but now I want to block that phone number from future contact. How can I do this? I have an iPhone XR

I believe what you can do is add that number as a contact.. once you do that, go back in and block the contact.. Then after that delete the contact.

I read in this thread there was success doing this

Thank you Chris0107 for your response. I was afraid of that, I deleted it too quick. It was very nasty, so I just wanted to be rid of it. I did write down the number though - so I have that much. Is there a way I can still block the number?
