Storage is Full

I have less than 20 GB on my Mac Air but the system total is 111 GB. What is all of the storage not showing up? I cannot download the updates because it says I don’t have space.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.14

In that case, your best option is to reinstall macOS using recovery mode. You can do that without deleting your data on the drive.

Hi. Mine does not say Other. It says System has 105. 57 GB. I looked at Info for all of the files in System and none were large except Application support which was still only 1.32GB.

something is filling up the system storage but I can’t find it. Would one of the apps mentioned in the attached article identify what it is?
