AirPods connection difficulties in TV OS14

What has happened to AirPods connection in TV OS14? Used to be able to hit the pause/play button and access connect to AirPods. Now have to go to settings to connect. Occasionally they will auto connect.

Airpods Pro cannot connect to Sony Bravia Several people described this problem and asked for help. Apple support answers with ridiculous simplistic link to completely unhelpful subjects sometimes having nothing with the described problem. I remember when Apple care about its customers, well may be you should try again? so, Sony Bravia TV cannot be paired with AirpodsPro, while pairs with many other devices. Please, give us an intelligent answer or tell us that you have none. Then I will return my pair of Airpods Pro and will put a Youtube demo that it is not possible, so people don’t waste time. AirPods max connection to AirPods Max Does anyone know what is the best way to connect AirPods Max to Apple TV. It does not connect right away.
