Strange noise camera

Service changed camera, problem still here, they changed phone to new but problem is still here. Its a bug after ios update... i think wait for ios problem fix by apple. Try ios14.4beta update

Today I upgraded the iOS to 14.3 and it fixed my problem.

Update to 14.3 then it seems to be fixed

I have same issue. I contacted Apple Support three times and they suggested the following:

1) completely resetting my settings-this resolved it for a few days but issue came back

2) upgrading to latest i.O.S-this resolved it for a few days but issue came back.

3) in my third attempt, I was able to get a replacement phone. No issue initially but after a week of usage it came back.

Same issue. After phone restart, the sound will go away for a few days.

I have exactly the same problem. When I open the iphone camera app I can see the lens of the main camera being fully tightened and immediately return to its original position. This is probably how this noise is produced. It only affects the main camera.

Could you please try and fix this? Heres some intel: iPhone SE 2020 rear camera started clicking after a few days every time when opening the camera app. It is definetly a mechanicel sound from the OIS. I returned my phone and got a new iphone SE 2020. it has the exact same problem. It begins to happen after a few days of use.

Please let the software engineers look into this. It is driving me nuts.

Hi, I have the same problem. It is only the front camera. When I force quit it the problem is still there. When I restart my phone the problem disappears for 1-3 days and comes back again.

I thought it was hardware defect but resetting fixed it. Must have got stuck in a bad state and resetting fixed it.

apparently everyone has this problem with iphone se 2020 and ios 14, it's very strange and i don't know if it could damage the camera somehow.

but one thing is for sure after rebooting the device there is no noise for some time and then it comes back.

I have this exact same issue with my 2020 iPhone SE. It is a mechanical sound from the camera when the camera is activated. When you put your ear to the camera and open the camera app or activate the camera in other apps you hear the mechanical noise. Is the camera broken? Does it need to be repaired? Is it covered under warranty?

@dela_neploxo we have the same issue. Apple replaced the phone for this reason already twice! Last Saturday we drove 81 miles to the closest genius bar and complained that the first iPhone which they replaced had the same mechanical sound issue again. So they replaced it. We we arrived at home we realised that our genius bar, replaced our broken iPhone for a new broken iPhone which is disgusting! So we drove back today to get this issue solved and they simply send us away! Apple Care on the phone cared about this issue but the Apple store which messed up didn't!

I'm really mad about something like this! We have laws and Apple has to obey laws!

Imagine they told me it's expectable that a camera can develop strange noises!
