Strange noise camera

I have gone through three devices now and they all have the same issue. Additionally when moving the phone to my ear for answering a phone call there is a rattle, like a loose part. This also started after one to two days from unboxing the phone.

It is the mute switch, which is a little loose on the mute position and rattles. This is two noisy issues from all three totally new phones after 1-2 days. This is a really poor job.

I am open for a suggestion from apple to drive my customer satisfaction back up again, because it is a pain of losing so much time in setting up phones.

Agree with you. After intense search and tests I guess that this is a software issue but without solution by Apple…after 8 months and 3 replaced device issue is still here…7 call with assistance and no solution. My warranty is at its end, very very disappointed with Apple

I have thesame problem on my iphone 8 plus. After 2 days of ios 14.2 i noticed that everytime i open the camera app it makes that strange click/crackle noise.

Same problem, exact same sound. Iphone SE 2020 14.0.1

Hi , I did get replacement but the issue seems like software and not mechanical so it doesn't seem to be resolved even with the replacement.

for a week I have been testing the third device, for now no problem. At this point I think there are some failed devices an some not

Apple support advised me to write feedback to Apple to report the problem, the more reports they receive, the more likely Apple will solve the problem

I have the same problem (front camera video only records static sound) on iPhone SE 2018 and iOS 14.2.

I also am unable to hear or be heard on the speakerphone for a cell phone call, or apps that use calling like, FB messenger and Kakao Talk.

I have the same phone (SE 2020) and the exact same problem, camera works absolutely fine though and got some fantastic slo mo footage of the snow we’re getting this morning here in the UK. Good to know I’m not the only one with this problem.

i have the same exact problem. like everytime i open my camera app it started to sound like clicking. and idk but it’s getting louder day by day. i tried to restart my iPhone but it fixed itself for like a day only then it started to sound the same. should i go service my device? please i need help. my anxiety won’t let me feel calm until i found the way to fix it. (i use an iPhone Xr)

I have the iPhone 12 Pro and I thought I got a defective device or something. Every time I try using the back camera I hear this repetitive clicking sound and when I close the app the sound disappears. Wtf is going on?

I am a bit concerned to read that I am not alone when it comes to iPhone SE 2020. I have had to send my phone away twice already for faults. First was earpiece speaker broke, second was my camera and flash stopped working and when activated would get so hot you would burn your finger. Also everytime I use a app or app with a camera I hear my camera turning on. I have also noticed that the bottom left speaker has broken. These are 3 faults already and I have only had the phone for just under 12 months. I really hope Apple fix this.

I subscribe to this problem. I got it 3-4 days after buying the phone; initially, I thought I did something wrong with it, but it wasn't the case.

How could they go wrong with a phone whose architecture is the same since 2014 :)))
