How do I get iphone to automatically update apps. Instructions found via Google are all wrong. There is no "iTunes & App Store" menu choice. None. Nada. Zippo. Ziltch. So much research and I still can't make it work. Why am I a slave to iphone when it should be the reverse?

Install or remove configuration profiles on iPhone
If you do not have any restrictions or profiles configured we would recommend that you check for an iOS update available. Please make sure that you create a backup before updating.
Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you want a way to automatically download the apps you purchase on one device to download on any other other devices using your Apple ID, you can enable "Apps" under Automatic Downloads. If you just want to update apps automatically on that specific device you enable "App Updates."

Got it. So many other instructions told me to go to a place in settings that does not exist. It may have in older versions of iOS. But it would be nice if Apple would stop moving things around.
Oh. One other question. Under "Automatic Downloads" there are two switches: "Apps" and "App Updates" with no explanation of how they are different.
