what happens to your photos if you cancel your icloud plan?

i have been trying to back them up to google photos since july 17th.

almost 3 months later and they aren’t backed up. less than half of them have backed up.

and when i go to view those on google photos, it only shows me like 45 pictures.

it claims it has backed up 3100 of my 6300 pictures. but they aren’t there.

i bought myself a laptop specifically to store my photos on, and i can’t get the laptop to let me back them up either.

im beyond frustrated

i’ve never had an icloud plan.

ive always spent the time backing them up to my computer.

which is always time consuming because they’re in like 45 different folders.

so i have to randomly click folders open until i find the pictures i am missing. and then save them.

but this laptop isn’t even loading the pictures .

and i never wanted to pay for icloud if it is just going to delete my photos if i quit paying... like you confirmed it will

that’s what i was afraid of... what an absolute crock.
