My AirPods have a solid white light when the lid is closed, when I open it, the light just goes off. What do I do to stop this?

Hi, dawson73.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. We’re glad you decided to reach out about your AirPods. If we understand correctly, the light on the AirPods case remains solid white.

Have you tried resetting your AirPods?

If the LED light on the case stays a steady white even after holding the button for awhile, they may be having a communication issue. Try cleaning both the inside of the case and AirPods to make sure they get the best connection.

If you’re still experiencing issues after cleaning your AirPods, let’s check the firmware version. While your AirPods are connected, go to Settings > General > About > AirPods. What version do you see here?

All our best.
