Pictures not showing up in texts

Hi all... I have tried Apple support and didn't get any solutions.... here's the issue:

I have iPhone X and daughter has iPhone XR .. we are on Verizon... ever since "upgrading" to iOS14 (we now both have 14.0.1) , my daughter can't see any pictures when I send them to her in a text ... it is ONLY pictures that I have taken from my phone.... any other pictures I send her, she can see them in a text just fine.... but the pictures I've taken from my phone that I send her in a text, come through as a link which she has to click in order to see the picture.... the link she gets says: 'IMG_3747.heic" (obviously the image number changes with different pictures) ... it also has a double square above the IMG line, which she clicks to see the picture.....

This ONLY occurs when I send her pictures.... other iphone users send her pictures and they show up fine; some of those users are on iOS14, others are not .... I can see her pictures just fine... it's only one way from me to her.....

Apple support has had me restart the phone, reset settings,etc... I have not done a hard "restore" ... not sure I'm up for that..... Any ideas???

When you do this:

Do you see the message properly displayed sort of like below?
Once you address it to your daughter, does the top text say “New iMessage”?
Does the message appear blue when sent (not green)?
Do you ever see the “IMG ...”?

| on it , and then click on "messages" to send to her.....

one other thing I forgot to mention: This ONLY occurs with pictures that I have taken with my iphone.... if I take a picture with a regular camera, and then send it to my phone using wifi in camera and then send to her, she can see it just fine.... is my camera somehow corrupted by iOS14 ????

Thanks.. I figured it out.... I figured it must be something with camera on my iphone.... went to settings --> camera --> formats ; "high efficiency" was checked... I changed to "most compatible" and viola... it fixed the issue.... don't ask me why.... I assume "high efficiency" was always checked .... maybe something with ios 14 ? or maybe camera is going bad?
