Since the iOS 14 upgrade, I no longer see a preview of the Time on my iphone's lock screen. All i see is the time. I have to ask Siri to "show timer" to see the elapsed time before the ringer goes off.
Prior to 14, I was able to just look at the lock screen and see the elapsed time.

If anything this is a temporary fix and does not guarantee it will solve the issue I did this yesterday and what do you know today I’m having the same problem.
No offence people need to stop coming up with these half *** fix methods and start ripping the technicians a new one to fix what they broke

I just tried this and my emergency alarm went off. You cannot even do a hard reboot anymore. I am SOOOOO done with Apple/IPhones once my 8 doesnt work...which will happen soon after they do enough updates to force you to buy a new one.
Apple is so ******, can't add music, can't backup without erasing everything, and now this at version 14!!! Whatever they pushed as luxury isn't there anymore, no support or even effort, their geniuses are a joke. So what do we propose we do besides switching to Android obviously?
It looks like apple don't read or answer their own forums. The microsoft "fix" of "restarting your computer every time" is pathetic. Jobs made a luxury device, now apple made it trashy and their support laughable.
The confirmed solution doesn't work, but at least we aren't as dumb as their "geniuses" and we should demand better since this crap never ends and something else is going to be wrong next time.
A hard reboot(press volume up then volume down then hold lock button until phone completely shuts off then displays Apple logo) should bring back the timer function properly after the IOS 14 upgrade.

I did this. It worked a few days now back to not working again.
I’m having this problem and the restart didn’t work for me at all very annoying. I hate having to open my phone to see how much time I have left on my lunch.
I’ve just installed the update, 14.1, the alarm symbol is back on the status bar, and the timer shows on my Lock Screen again 👍🏼

I’m having issues where a pre-assigned list of contacts would show up when I go to send a picture via text, and now that contact list is gone after the upgrade.

Had this problem too! Just updated to 14.2 and timer went back to being seen when phone is locked!
...aaaaand then it went away after the first couple of hours.
This is pretty stoopid.
I have the same annoying problem. As others have commented, turning phone off and back on provides a temporary fix at best. Also, I am using version 14.1 so that was not a fix as some suggested.
