bluetooth pop ups that never stop

I reciently purchased an iMAC. I have a MBP and a MBA as well. The iMac keeps trying to connect to both laptops via Bluetooth. I get pop ups every few seconds and have to turn off bluetooth to be able to use the devices. I tried deleting the com.applebluetooth.plist file (followed by a restart) and that did not seem to work. I've also tried turning off handoff and that did not work. My son is logged in on the iMAC, my daughter on the MBP and I am on the MBA, so I don't believe it is a handoff issue. I tried the debug bluetooth and that did not work either. I believe all devices are updated. Maybe iOS Big Sur when it comes out will fix this?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello dtm324!

From your post we see you are having some trouble with BlueTooth connection requests appearing on your MacBook Pro and MacBook Air coming from your new iMac. We can absolutely see how that would be an issue and we want to help get it resolved. Do you have BlueTooth Sharing enabled on those devices? Try disabling it on the iMac first and then on the MacBooks if the issue continues. You can find that settings in System Preferences > Sharing > BlueTooth Sharing.

If the issue continues with BlueTooth Sharing disabled then we recommend following up with our direct support so they can further investigate: Get Support.

We hope that helps. Have an excellent rest of your day!
