Alias email issue specific to iPad

Hi everyone,

Created an alias email address for my son so that he can send and receive email (through our Apple ID) for school work. This feature works as intended on our desktop, laptop and phone. In mail, he can click the from field and choose to send from his alias email. It will then show as being sent from him. The exception is on the iPad. He can still choose his alias in the from field on the iPad. But sending from the ipad, the email will appear as coming from our address, an @me account. To add to the confusion, our default email is an @mac address so the @me is just one of the alternate email addresses Apple assigned years ago when they switched to free email. I went into iCloud and disabled the @me address and it simply defaulted to our @mac. This is specific to the iPad. All other devices function as they should. Appreciate the help and please do not send links on how to use alias emails or articles about @me, @icloud associated account emails as the Apple “specialist” did. I’ve read all the support docs and searched the community (though I may have missed a post or two)

Thanks, Jeff
