Can’t edit widget from today view
I found I can only edit my widgets when my phone is unlocked and on the Home Screen. Swipe right to get to the Widget screen. Touch and hold a Widget there. Then you should be able to Edit them.

Today’s view apps have to start edit from Home Screen not today’s view - Problem solved
Apple map widget in today view doesn’t wiggle when pressed - open area press does nothing
I did as suggested but it still doesn’t work. Only some can be edited but others are completely stuck.
That is not even close to working

From your post we see you are having some trouble with editing Widgets in Today View. Let's try getting that issue resolved together. To make sure we are on the same page, were you editing those Widgets following these steps? Use widgets on your iPhone and iPod touch. Specifically this section:
Add widgets to Today View
Touch and hold a widget or an empty area in Today View until the apps jiggle.
Tap the Add buttonin the upper-left corner.
Scroll down to select a widget, then choose from three widget sizes.
Tap Add Widget, then tap Done.
